Yesterday's Blip was looking East towards the Kessock bridge. Today's is looking West from upon that same bridge. Showing part of the village of North Kessock and beyond at dusk. The tides running through the narrows at the bridge can be up tp six knots. Stronger on the ebbing tide, due to the River Ness and River Beauly, adding to the salt water flowing out.
Walked across the bridge today, though I'd normally cycle across. Far prefer these two options to sitting in a car, caught in the morning traffic... unless of course it's snowing or pouring rain. On several crossings, I've had to walk with my bicycle due to very strong winds. Usually carry a single ear plug for such days - to deaden the roaring wind coming from one side (nearly always the South-West).
Busy day, with little chance to enjoy the all day sunshine and blue sky... first sight of both for over a week! With overnight temperatures of about -4 Centigrade, the air was beautifully clear. Still plenty of snow about, when heading inland.
