Waimakariri River

I've not been on here in ages after everything thats happened in christchurch. I hope all the christchurch blippers are ok.

Today i made the most of the fact that my work is still closed by heading down to the Waimakariri river for some Salmon fishing. Until today i'd never caught a wild Salmon. It was an experience i'll never forget. I'm still shaking as i type this. It was a fantastic 12.5 lbs, the biggest fish i've ever caught and the one i'll remember the longest.
