Lesser Celendine

Celendine flowers are very yellow. I can't think of anything yellower.

I was pottering in the garden at lunchtime trying to photograph newts but they're very shy. The celendine on the other hand are extremely outgoing at this time of year. Maybe they have to be as there are not many insects about to attract?
