Where did they go?

We had a really relaxing meander down to Tarbert today, about an hour away by car. Some sunshine , lots of seagulls . I got lots of shots of the gulls flying , landing as usual on the masts. Then we saw this cormorant in the water diving for food. It stayed under for quite a long time and came up quite a distance from where it went under.
On the way home we stopped to watch a solitary heron on the shore by Inverneil. I did manage to catch some in flight shots but the eye detail was not quite sharp.

So it was a toss up between the cormorant and the gulls. Have changed back to the cormorant in response to some comments. In future i will stick to my first image ( had thought the cormorant was too dark and the duck was a fun shot. So for jean and kaybee here you are.
