Poets Corner
The Byre Theatre, St Andrews.
The Stanza, Scotlands International Poetry Festival.
A meeting of old friends from University and a meeting with some random poet enthusiasts.
Last year my pal from Uni had a spontaneous meeting with the 'poemcatcher' and wrote this -
Honouring
I met a man today who collects
Pieces of people's Souls
He wasn't a demon with cloven feet
And he didn't shine like an Angel
He was just a man on a park bench
Who smiled, and asked if I'd like
To give a part of myself to him.
I laughed, and even stranger,
I could not wait to do so.
By the man with the ponytail in passing
The main in the 'ponytail' is Christie (his poem), an old Alehouse regular from Stirling Uni.
Cheers Christie, good to see you again!
