Friday: History

This is Roupell Street, just a hop, skip and a jump away from Waterloo Station.  I hopped, skipped and jumped there this morning on the way home, but did get some weird looks in the process.

This is one of the most central parts of London, heaving with commuters, yet hard to believe when you're standing here.  This is what I love about London - the unexpected little treasures that you can stumble across.  I love history anyway, so discovering little nooks and crannies like this is a real treat.  And places like this is real history at its best.
