From Glimps Holm
The causeway to Lambs Holm. Glimps Holm is a tiny island, one of the stepping-stones from Mainland to South Ronaldsay. It is rather small for a proper walk, but I wanted to see what birds were around the coast there. Not really anying surprising: long-tailed ducks, red-breasted mergansers, shelduck, eiders etc. Still a very cold wind blowing from the southwest.
Some maps have 'Glims' rather than 'Glimps'. The former is probably more correct. Glim sounds like a proper Norse name.
