Tryffid tree

I took quite some trouble to take this photo, I discovered these steps today when the tide was out and went down to take a shot of this amazing tree. It has a mass of roots draped over the sandstone cliff and these steps are cut into the natural stone.

There are some very slippery stones at the bottom, I slid, landed hip first in the mud, camera flying through the air and I heard a horrible crack. After collecting bits of my camera I found it was still working, phew! Had to nip into Asda to get a cheap pair of trousers before returning to work because I was covered in stinking tidal mud!

Hope it was worth it....
