okay.... so this wasn't really what i had in mind for today. sigh...

i noticed that my christmas cactus plants were still producing flowers - yay! so i started snapping away... all the pics were disappointments though.

then i went outside... all those were disappointments, too. uh-oh...

i hurried to an appointment... spent wasted time waiting - why is it we're expected to be on time, but doctors can be late, late, late?

took more pics after that... more disappointed shots. this hasn't happened to me before.

what's up with this day and the camera? does this happen to other people? the camera not cooperating? no matter what you do, nothing works? no satisfaction? the past several days, i've had more than plenty of choices to post... today? zip, nada... nothing is flipping my trigger.

then i started to play with processing and some color of one shot of the cactus. could it be? a bit artsy-fartsy... well, that's okay, right? some pastel on the fringes... sort of works - i think i might like it. does it matter that i played around? i don't think so. for now, this is what i have to offer... it's what my day has represented... it doesn't feel like a total failure with the camera after all so i do feel decent about that.

now i need to rush to another appointment....
