A day with no power

What a day.....

Up at the crack of sparrows this morning to join the Gentleman of the Scottish Gliding Centre at Portmoak.

The thought of a powerless form of air transport, is hard for someone like me to get my head around but today really opened my eyes. Today we focused on ridge soaring, just one element in a Glider Pilots armour to ensure flight is prolonged. Working a ridge efficiently and correctly can create many hours of powerless flight. Just amazing.
