Phew

Lindsay and I ended up in A&E tonight with separate ailments. Freakish.

I bit my tongue while eating popcorn at the cinema*. It was bleeding so bad even two hours later that we thought about going to the hospital. Daunted by the likely queues, we first stopped by a pharmacy - where Lindsay suddenly fainted.

She came to immediately, but it scared the shit out of me, so once she was steady enough, we completed the journey (by bus) up to UCL Hospital.

They booked us both in, and we were seen by the same doctor, inside 30 minutes, and Lindsay was given the all clear, thank God. (There was nothing they could do for my tongue. Gargle salt water, they said. Yum.)

So, yeh. Yesterday's goes double today.

* The movie was Submarine, the directorial debut by Richard Ayoade (Moss out of The IT Crowd). It's pretty good.
