A red sunset

Yesterday was a long day, the plane from Melbourne landing just after midnight. So today has been low key. A few hours this afternoon with the boys while their parents were busy, a run squeezed in (the planned blip ruined by low sun and high dazzle), an attempt to create an image with a succulent in a pot on the deck. So this shot got my vote.

Lovely sunset again, and this one with strong reds rather than the yellowy gold of my last sunset, just five days ago. I also liked the way that the blue of the sky lasted so long.

Red skies are meant to foretell a good day to come. Tomorrow is the day of the full moon. It is the day before Mr H's 7th birthday, and a family celebration is planned for the morning. Finally, the autumn equinox is almost upon us. The portents are good.
