great day today. the surveyor came, as well as the village chief and his councillors, to demarcate the land. it took the whole day in the hot sun which i wasn't expecting so now I have a face like a tomato. delightful. there were some disagreements with the chief and the villagers who thought that we were only entitled to 5 hectares but thankfully the councillors defended us and we were given the full 10.

it was only in walking around measuring the place that we got a full idea of the size of the land. it's huge! i've already told dad there is plenty of room to build a house there!
