Stairway to Heaven

This is my stairway to heaven
a heaven with streams of light
This is my stairway to heaven
no one can see with shear sight

It hides inside our eyes
looking at everything we see
it watches and learns
our motions, and what we are to be

It lays there in our eyes
like tired bats in a cave
waiting for something to happen
and spring out when you become brave

Or is bravery merely courage
at it's highest degree
foolishness in a bundle
of choices anyone can see

Time will only tell
how long that you will wait
because the bat inside's impatient
kept in an unkempt state

eventually the bat takes over
leaving your body behind
and your soul flies to a stairway
you can not see, your blind

Your soul finally walks up
into the blinding light
and that is all i can tell
because the rest is unknown
like a lost kite

This is my stairway to heaven
because no two stairways are similar
this is my stairway to heaven
Or is it just merely a blur.
