Chocolate Frosting

We've had a brilliant day. A friend I used to nanny with came to visit us with her little boy, Euan. He settled in instantly despite never having been here, and Katie loved having him around. Although she wasnt keen on sharing her dolls' pushchair. Even better, Euan's mum came complete with chocolate fudge butterfly buns. Which Katie enjoyed the fudge from. Euan's mum and I had a great catch up whilst playing with the kids and time flew. It was lunchtime before I knew it!
We went out to the play cafe, we all played in the soft play until the food arrived and the babies ate really nicely. They had a bit more of a play before we came back to bundle them into the car and headed to Hornsea Freeport. Both of them were fast asleep before we'd got out the village!
We had a nice wander round the shops, Katie got to say hello to lots of doggies that were out with their owners (shopping? With dogs? Not something I understood, but there were loads!) The children both got a lovely new book. Katie picked one about cats (she's mad on them at the moment) and it has a button that makes it miaow. It's irritating. Very. She loves it.
The last pair of mega-reduced clarks shoes just happened to be in Euan's size, to his mummy's delight. We stopped in a couple of other places and headed back to the car. It was such a lovely time with friends we don't see enough of.
Katie troughed a big tea - drinking sweetpotato and butternut squash from the bowl, with croutons, then pesto & spinach mini ravioli. Random, but Katie enjoyed it! A very splashy bath followed and Katie then flaked out in her cot, snuggled up to Monkey of course
