(mini-)Roadtrip.
The Beloved woke up with a cold, I'm still recovering from the flu, but together we were a 100%, so we headed out to see how south-west Michigan is looking after the long winter. Sunny, overall, but with a lot of damaged trees.
We drove over Dutch Settlement Road*, stopped at several lakes between Decatur, Marcellus and Paw Paw, saw the first red-winged blackbirds and enjoyed the open windows and Sirius' "Roadhouse"; our choice of roadtrippin' music.
This photo was taken at Fish Lake, which doesn't win a price for most original name, but did win price of the day for being most scenic. Rusted fence included.
I'm keeping an eye out for tonight's humongous moon, our cloudless sky is promising.
ps. I did lose a subscriber yesterday. Either allergic to squirrels or my promise of variation proved too little to late.
It doesn't matter. There are days that it may matter a little bit, but not yesterday. Too happy :)
*which felt very un-Dutch with curves and hills.
