Normal Service Is Resumed
Jess & Molly are back at home. Aunty Joyce says that they were very good and that they enjoyed their stay. Molly, it seems, did not run flat out whenever she could - she walked slowly everywhere with an older dog. Result, she is not limping. There is no stopping Jess, however. She was going as fast as she could any time she was off ther lead.
It was not all plain sailing when they came back. Both came into the house and looked at the new kitchen. Jess wandered around it and seemed to accept that things were different.
Molly took one look and ran into the garden. She would not come into the house, even if we tried to tempt her with a few favourite treats. We even put a lead on her and tried to bring her in, but she fought like a wild horse to stay outside.
We thought, of course, that she was put off by the newness of the kitchen. Perhaps she resented the fact that she had not been consulted. Or maybe she heard a strange hum from the new fridge - were we going to have to get rid of it?
Mrs jml solved the problem eventually. Just before fetching Jess & Molly home, she had been hoovering. The Henry-vacuum was still out on the kitchen floor, and that is what Molly had seen when she arrived. She does not love Henry, and that is why she was refusing to come in!
So now we are back to being one happy family again. I hope that my blipping of jml will continue from here.
