Yummy yummy

Made a start on the jobs which are set to run concurrently for the rest of the month. Took a break mid afternoon and then went out for one of my guest appearances at Derek & Rita's.

We had a brilliant night, keeping the cats happy (future blip material when the evenings get longer), chatting about what we've all been up to since last we met, having supper, being blown away by some of Derek's recent photos from his Olympus E-510, chatting about the future of digital audio and using some of Rita's gorgeous cupcakes (or were they 'fairycakes'? -- we couldn't decide) as blip fodder as the clock ticked remorselessly towards midnight. We had two varieties to choose from, plain with icing, or these super un-iced ones with mincemeat (as in used in minced pies).

It was after 1.00 am when I got home, rested and happy and ready to face the hectic weekend which is ahead (work tomorrow, opera on DVD tomorrow afternoon/evening hosted by one of the guys from the Music Group, hosting the Music Group session on Saturday afternoon, meeting Alan afterwards for a night on the tiles, going to the National Concert Hall to hear the Chamber Orchestra of Europe on Sunday evening -- I'm already exhausted just thinking about it all!).
