"Super Moon"
Sometime tonight, the moon was at "perigee", which is it's closest orbit with Earth.
I could not resist this opportunity to, once again, try my hand at moon photos.
I am very impressed with how my little Samsung BL 1050 10.2MP hand held point and click stepped up to the challenge.
Last time I attempted a blip of the moon, it was during the eclipse in December.
I had just enough battery power to snap 3 shots before the camera went completely dead, so I never got the chance to fiddle with the settings much.
Having had several months to learn this cameras more advanced manual settings, I found tonight, with this amazingly bright and large full moon, to be a great night to test what I have learned.
I hope I gave the moon justice.
I purposely set the moon behind thee top of a tree, just to give some perspective.
Tonight was an amazing night. Me and my love went out and saw "Paul". Absolutely hilarious movie. A must see for any sci-fi geeks out there!!
Followed that with amazing ice cream and a beautiful Esbat moon.
So close to the Solstice, my spirit feels powerful and my heart is light and content.
