Newly born kids!

These British Alpine goats kids were born about 10 mins ago! ( 2 female + 1 male )
They are safe and warm in the goat shed! It is pouring with rain here today, with a cold wind!

The proud mother is washing the kids non stop. ( Ros has just taken her in a nice warm drink! )

You may know that cows have 4 udders, but goats only have 2. This means we will be bottle feeding for a few months.

Ros has kept goats for over 30 years. The male will be sold for stud before too long. I expect Ros will keep one of the females, and sell the other one.

Chloe kept well out of the way...I'll take her for a long walk now in the rain!
