Trainspotting

A smashing day spent with a bunch of rail enthusiasts at the Lavender Line railway in Isfield.

On the way home the Bride and I were discussing what differentiates the various bands of partakers, spectators and general hangers-on in the worlds of hobbies, sports and pastimes. Why are train-people called enthusiasts, where motorbike-riders are fanatics, car-lovers are buffs, and collectors of anything small and made of lead are hobbyists?

Me: "So, this Blip obsession, what does it make me?"
Bride: "Geek"
