Archie

Managed to get in to see Archie today albeit VERY briefly as Henry wanted to eat his wagon wheel..so I had to move fast.
Archie is off the CPAP a lot longer than he is on it which is excellent ...
The criteria for home going is
Weight he is well above target there ..he is now over 5lbs.
Breathing, getting there
Feeding , if he can establish breastfeeding he can go, if not bottle feeding, Archie is being breastfed by Abigail at least once a day..
and that's it ..simple ..except that with premature babies they can go backwards just as easily as they go forward ..so in general terms it is expected he stays in until his due date that was March 21st ... he is doing very well this week
I must 'do' a little film ans show you you all Archies grunts of protests and all the alarms going off ..quite belies any apparent peacefulness

Here he is opening his eye in response to me saying 'Archie hello there' ... whilst being pulled by Henry 'I want to go to the waiting room' I am getting a strong sense that these 2 will run me ragged ........can't wait :))
