back again

We started off the week working with St. Bernard Project, the same group we worked with rebuilding homes last year. We had our orientation in the exact same room, and I managed to leave my mark again!

Back in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina struck, the man who lived in this house managed to escape the flood waters by climbing up into his attic and was eventually rescued by his neighbors. They all had to wait for SIX days on top of a building across the street before help arrived. Amazing.
