British Columbia Native Art
This is the lid of a cedar box decorated with native art in the style of the British Columbia First Nations. I beleive that the animals portrayed here are Pacific salmon.
I lived on Vancouver Island, in the Comox Valley, for many years and gained an appreciation of Pacific Coast native art. That part of Canada remains one of my favourite places in the entire world, second only to where I currently live.
My curling league playoffs have begun and my team won the first game. : )
PS: I had to backblip yesterday's image. I went out afterwork last night and didn't get a chance to post my blip until this evening.
