to speak too soon

Despite this lady's valiant efforts to pretend that it's still winter, that it's still cold and that such clothing is warranted it sadly appears from the local weather conditions that the possibility of snowboarding at Glenshee this weekend is somewhere between zero and zero point zero zero zero zero three five two. The precipitate melting of the precipitate over the past couple of days would be remarkable were it not so annoying and is instead annoyingly remarkable. BAGH. Still, there's always next week; hopefully this unseasonal T-shirt weather will bugger off for another month and let the snow back for just a few more weeks.

To colour-cut-out or not to colour-cut-out? I'm very conscious that it's easily overdone but it somehow seemed to fit this young woman as well as her elder precursor and her ilk. For some reason the edge of the hood blends better with a B&W background than with the coloured background of the unadjusted image.

After a few weekends of sometimes-not-heading-outside-until-the-afternoon I plan to be out nice and early tomorrow before it gets too warm. Unfortunately I also plan to watch S04E02 before sleeping and have the new Iain M Banks book sitting in my bag and tempting me to start it. This might have some impact on the amount of available sleep. Still, seeing as I no longer have to be up at five on Sunday there will be plenty of time for sleep later in the weekend.
