Grey Sunday

Off to the woods near Ballinalee, Co Longford to join our archery group, the Warriors of Queen Maebh. It has been a couple of months since our last shoot. A tough course with the 3d animals and 2d targets well hidden. I lost two arrows, not bad considering.

Finally got beaten by Rita today who was absolutely hammering me. However I made a late comeback. It came down to the last arrow, Rita scored a wound on her third arrow, all I needed was a score higher than eight. It wasn't to be.

Considering the ribbing I always dish out, there was only a slight smugness to her face.
