Wharncliffe Chase
I spent much of today searching Wharncliffe Chase for Wheatears - no luck yet, maybe next week. Highlights included a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, heard but not seen from Pale's Wood, and plenty of Curlew, Skylark and Meadow Pipits.
Best today was a couple of Mealy Redpolls among the Lesser Redpoll flock in Wharncliffe Wood, though sadly, although they were showing well, were in a murky patch and so I didn't manage any photos.
