Roadworkville

Stroud is a town of roadworks at the moment, or come to think of it for about the last 6 months.

I attended my quickest ever council (planning committee) meeting tonight, mostly spent noting the list of roadworks provided to us by county council. Roadworks for sewers, roadworks for gas mains, roadworks for canal bridge and general pot hole repairing. Holes in the road everywhere - is there any sign of planning going on here?

I had my camera with me so after the meeting I went and took some long exposure shots of the crazy wiggly diversions where the road bridge over the canal is being rebuilt. Quite pleased with the results and a nice balmy evening to be out and about.
