At Last

...........I got this guy's picture.

For about a month now I have seen this pheasant every week on my way to yoga. I know now where he hangs out but each time I tried to take a shot of him he got away. Today I had my camera sitting on the passenger seat, lens cap off and drove slowly up the hill. He was sitting waiting for me. I stopped the car and opened the window and took a few shots. I got out slowly and started walking nearer to him but he started to move away. Must have took about twelve shots of him and this was the best one. Not perfect but had to be blipped as it has taken me so long to get to this.

I was advised by the forest ranger that it is a male bird and their colours become more vibrant this time of year so as to attract the ladies.
