Evening Light

The light in forest is always beautiful in the evenings, but it's always difficult to just stop the car to take a shot, and by the time you do, the moment is often gone.

Mum and I saw a bird of prey perched on a tree stump the other day, but it had flown off by the time we had turned round and got back to it.

We remarked what a shame it was that we couldn't take a picture of it. In the days before cameras, we would have remarked on how lucky we were to have seen it.
