Waiting In Vain

There's a famous Gary Larson Far Side cartoon that depicts the exterior of a college building signposted MIDVALE SCHOOL FOR THE GIFTED, and out in front of it, an earnest young intellectual, head down, trying to push open a door marked PULL.

It's the first thing that sprang to mind when I saw this recently-erected sign at the university. Somebody within the administrative hierarchy was definitely having a Midvale School For The Gifted day when they conjured this one up. Still, at least they have automatic doors in University House these days, so that's one less little obstacle for them to overcome of a morning...
