Caractacus Potts.

Caractacus Potts, as you will remember, is the Grand Father in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I had an hour in the Royal Scottish Academy today. There were things that looked like thumbs, and a climbing frame made out of bamboo poles. There were shiny black hemispheres that rocked as if they had hamsters in them, and a pile of black powder on the floor. A strange one was a mesmerising film that looked like a digitised car park filmed from above with little shadow cars wandering round parking themselves.

However, in the basement was a room dedicated to everyday objects adapted and presented as art.

So it may look like a broken tea-pot to you, but this my friend is 'ART'.

It also sums up exactly how I feel today.
