Today's the day .................... to get snowed in

The view this morning from the eighth floor of our Toronto hotel was a complete white out. They had said that it would snow today - and they were right! It is a pretty fantastic view I've got though and no hardship to watch all that was going on below from a nice warm room.

The hotel overlooks Lake Ontario and I nipped out to take a picture of this fantastic schooner called the Empire Sandy. She was built as a Englishman/Larch class tugboat for war service by the British Government in 1943. She began serving the Great Lakes as a tall ship in 1982.

Apparently you can charter her for tours or have your wedding and other events on board while sailing on Lake Ontario, Lake Erie and along the St. Lawrence Seaway. Maybe not today though ..............
