Rio Cinema - Hackney

The building was first opened in 1915 as the Kingsland Empire and then became the Dalston Classic in 1937. After a closure in 1976 it was opened again in April 1976 as the Rio. After extensive refurbishment the Rio was awarded Grade II listed status.

This wonderful building is my local cinema.
