Red ore

Another gorgeous day and a nice walk in the hills with friends and a bunch of happy dogs. At some places veins of Bauxite surface - after all it was here that this stuff was first recognised as containing aluminium and named after Les-Baux-de-Provence. There are some abandoned mines, but only bats are allowed in.
