Audience Today...

The one o'clock gun had an audience today due to the fine weather. There were loads of them! I nearly missed the gun going off because I thought it was in the bit below the crowd instead of to the side! I wonder what tourists make of standing and watching a big (but modern) gun being fired? It seems like a slightly odd way to spend some of your day. I guess there are stranger things to watch, and I guess there's quite a bit of ceremonial attached to the firing of the gun. Oh well. They have to pay to get into the Castle nowadays, so they might as well get their moneys-worth!
