Port Ellen, Islay

I have been campaigning on Islay and Jura for two days . Normally the ferry from Kennacraig on the Argyll mainland docks at two places on Islay - here and Port Askaig. But from tomorrow the ferry berth at Port Ellen will be closed for nine months, for reconstruction to accommodate the new vessel, the MV Finlaggan which will arrive shortly. So this is one of the last pictures (for a while) taken from a ferry arriving in this sheltered , attractive harbour.
