LOOK what I found!!!!
O.K. I admit it ... I didn't "find " it, it found me.
I also admit I can lose things, for Britain, to Olympic standard.
Would you believe I have, actually lost (or had stolen) 2 of these?
The other day I took some stuff to the nearest recycling centre, a bloke greeted me, as you would a total stranger with one known thing in common (Recycling).
His next words were .. "Have you lost a camera?"
Almost a year ago we picked up a lad, hitching from Kendal to Penrith. Turns out he was Polish and a paraglider. He was in the habit of launching himself from some high point or other, seeing where the wind took him and hitching home.
"As the whole world knows, I am, by nature a reasonable man." What else could I do but drop him at his front doorstep.
It was at this point that my holster dropped, un-noticed from my belt.
It was, also, at this point that the old lad who greeted me had a son who picked the camera off the road.
Seems they had time to look through the pics before the battery flattened and he recognised me from a daft, arm's-length shot I had taken about 12months ago.
I'm only sorry it was this one loaded with inconsequential shots which was recovered and not the other one full of before, during and after shots af the restructuring of the bedroom.
BTW:- I REFUSE to put a "Z" into the word "recognised" just to appease the, obviously Yankee, Spilling-chucker.
