Lunch with a friend

I had lunch with my friend S today. We had yummy food and chai latte's. It's been sometime since we got to spend time together. I wish we could get together more often. That darn thing called work always seems to get in the way.

I managed to convince her of a mini photo shoot upon leaving. The tea house has an incredible red wall, but I loved this monochrome version best. It feels much more powerful for some reason.

Wishing we had more sun, but it doesn't look like it will happen soon.

We went for a picnic dinner at a local park this evening. The boys had so much fun playing soccer and hanging out on the slides. My husband and I had a great time throwing the football back and forth. Too bad I only recently discovered I actually have a little bit of talent for sports. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why I was so terrible in school as a child. I'm thinking it was confidence...as in lack thereof.

Fortunately we can give our own children the confidence they need to succeed.
