Best Booker Book

I've recently been trying to read the 2010 Man Booker Prize winner The Finkler Question for my Staff Book club. Surprisingly hard going. It well written enough, despite an apparently mistaken 'Whereas' but I've found myself unenthralled.
Our talk soon turned to whether the Booker has lost its way as some say and is ignoring the views of the 'everyman reader' - of our very well-read group the book caused little stir beyond confusion as to its greatness.

Anyway, to get to the blip, this made me think of other Booker winners. The Line of Beauty is close to being my favourite novel, if one book could hold that position. Beautifully written, moving and so telling...also, not a single review snippet taking up pages...
