The Jewel in the Crown

I was speaking to a man today who said he saw this hill 30 years ago when it was all green and lovely ... now half the hill has been dropped into drives, gardens, footpaths and other places. Apparently, the quarry, as it is now called, has a further 20 years to remove the remainder of the hill.

Crap knows how I am going to get a mobile signal when that has gone :-)
