edinburgh's shame (unfinished monument, grecian style) + nelson monument with a row of georgian townhouses half hidden in the trees.

below, the buildings housing the scottish parliament (sadly, designed by a spanish architect)

i like the contrast between the two, & had not appreciated how the landscaping complemented the parliament buildings, it till i saw it from salisbury crags.
