RIP Liz Taylor

I keep a photograph of Elizabeth Taylor on my desk at all times. Not because I'm a die-hard fan: because she's one of a set of four movie star coasters someone once gave me (the others are Rock Hudson, Raquel Welch and James Dean).

News of the screen icon's death broke on Twitter while I was lecturing at Brunel about news breaking on Twitter. The funeral took place today, and I shall look forward to the inevitable season of her films on TV soon. My favourite? Carry On Cleo...
