Once were warriors

This castle ruin sits on a hill overlooking the N4 just before the village of Ballinalack, Co Westmeath. I kept reminding myself to get an image of it, but as I am always in transit, it was on the long finger.

Well this evening I made the effort and turned off the main road. The castle sits on private farm land and is usually surrounded by cattle. I skipped over the fence and recorded some images.

I would have preferred some clouds, maybe next time...
