Chocolate and Whisky

C and I went to the Appliance Depot this afternoon -- a non-profit organization that takes donated appliances and repairs them while teaching low-income people the skills to do so. We were looking for a beer fridge to go in the basement -- in my workshop, actually. There weren't any available today, but there were a few in the back being repaired. We were advised to call daily because fridges (and other appliances) sell quickly.

On the way back through town C wanted to stop at her favorite chocolate store, Chocolate Necessities. I was easily persuaded. She bought some truffles filled with Laphroig, a single malt Scotch Whisky from Islay, one of the Inner Hebrides islands. There are nine active distilleries on the island. C already has a trip planned for us -- perhaps next year.
