LA bound

Nic left today at 5:00 p.m. along with 30 other youth for a Youth Missions Trip to the Dream Centre in inner city LA. The kids and 9 sponsors squished into our church's old school bus - but no - they're not driving that to California. Only as far as the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border, where they board a nice big beautiful bus complete with DVD players and a washroom and comfortable seats. The school bus will make them all the more grateful for the next bus they will be going on. This bus company had restrictions for picking the group up in Manitoba, but will be able to drive them back to Manitoba in 10 days time. They were a pretty excited group of kids. I managed to stop Nic before boarding the bus for a quick pic. The lighting kind of sucked, but I only had a second before he turned and left. They should make it to LA by early Sunday morning. He already inboxed me this evening and they had made it to the SK boarder and were getting on the next bus! Looking forward to hearing all about it when he gets back.
