Scurvygrass
Not a type of grass at all, of course. It's a member of the cabbage family, and a rich source of vitamin C. Sailors of old apparently ate it to ward off or cure "scurvy", a disease cause by vitamin C deficiency. This is actually "Danish scurvygrass", Cochlearia danica. It's grows by coast but also widely these days on roads that are regularly treated with salt.
This was basically the only photo I had yesterday. It wasn't up to much but I tried to do something with it - added noise, cropped very tight, boosted saturation. (Signs of desperation perhaps, but I kind of like the end result).
I was hoping for a quiet relaxed day, but for some crazy reason started to clean out the garage instead, which subsequently required a visit to the recycling centre and dump. Then I though I may as well do another job I'd been putting off - re-painting garden chairs and tables. At the same time my wife decided to clear out several shelves of books, which also required my input. Finally, as it was getting dark, I decided to go for broke and mow the lawn.
Finally slumped onto the sofa at about 8.30 pm with a pizza an QI, and then a re-run episode of New Tricks.
