Leenu

She's been with us for a year and a half now. Came with two other gerbils who have already passed away. We got them from friends who were planning to have a dog and thought it might be too much with four kids, four gerbils, a bunny, a guinea pig, an aquarium, and on top of this, a hundred year old house they were renovating while the parents naturally were doing a full time job elsewhere.

My daughters were more than happy to look after the gerbils.

But Leenu is old now and hasn't been doing 100% well lately. She's stopped gnawing and can't eat anything hard. Elina here is very good at looking after her. I wanted to choose a pic that shows their connection.

PS We had the most quiet sleepover bd party ever, even if it was half past three in the morning till they stopped chatting. I just love these new teens/almost teens who are so big and mature sometimes, but right now playing hide and seek... :)
