Thank God it's Saturday!   Not just because it's a day of fun and leisure but also because it's a day of the week that in the Brazilian/Portuguese naming convention for days, I actually 'get' and never get wrong!   For those who haven't come across it, the Brazilian/Portuguese word for Monday is 'Segunda Feira' (Second Day), Tuesday is 'Third Day' and so on to Friday which is 'Sixth Day'.   Now, we all know that God rested on the Seventh Day (Sunday/Domingo), so only God knows how Friday is sixth day!    We were once invited to a lavish party held out of town in a magnificent villa on the evening of the 'sixth day', and turned up on the Saturday to find our exhausted hosts settling down for a quite night of TV viewing having hosted their big bash 24 hours earlier...you can imagine!!!

For those who follow my journal, you'll know how pleased I am with the two little triangles within the slightly larger one in the bottom right corner of this typical Saturday lunchtime scene in Rio - with no cropping!
