Red Hot in Milton Keynes

MK's well known shopping centre is balanced by a large, interesting and ethnically diverse open market.

These colourful peppers caught my eye. Some I know to be indeed "Red Hot", but others are surprisingly mild and sweet.

We ate lunch in a Chinese place, more a shack than a restaurant, where the outstandingly tasty food was freshly prepared in front of our eyes. Peppers like those in the picture were clearly an important component of the dishes.

Oh yes! And the stated purpose of our outing, which was to buy curtains in one of the big-name shops in the "official" part of MK Centre was, I am assured, entirely successful.
